Breaking through- post 3

Quote: "And for you, Panchito, we got you this new bust of Jesus Christ to replace the one that's chipped"- page 44

Response: This quote gave me one thing. Love was that one thing. Love is the whole purpose i chose this quote. They had love towards the brother and prayer for him. Some people believe there is nothing better you can do but pray and i agree. There is nothing else. So in this quote it kinda of tied in with the rest of this chapter. That when Panchito got this new bust of Christ he replaced it with a chipped piece, he replaced it with something better. I found love throughout this quote, Panchito gaining new items which increases his strength in Christ, and i also see prayer for the little brother.

Question: Do you think the brother will get better because of their prayers and the family taking their time to sit next to him for support?

Quote: "Mr. Sims was angry with me because I missed so many weeks from work. He said he didn't know where I was, so he hired someone else."- page 21

Response: I feel in this quote Mr. Sims has the right to be mad at someone not far in the book because Francisco missed so many weeks of work which is crucial to most people because of lacking cash. For someone to say that they don't know where they are because you ditched work or you "had something better to do" is just inexcusable. I feel this quote gives us a little idea of where Francisco wants to lead his life. At this moment of the book i felt he didn't want to go far in life and he just wanted to be a poor person who lives under all the successful people. It could change as i read more but for now I'm not convinced that Francisco has the courage or the mind set to do what is right in this situation and to me that is to go to work and put your full hours in.

Question: Do you think Francisco will change. Do you think he will be able to start putting in the work and not miss it so much?
